Brampton
Battalion
The Brampton Battalion play in Brampton,Ontario,Canada. They play at the Powerade Centre. The team was founded in 1996 and played their first season in 1998-99. Since there start they have won their division twice but have failed to make it past the Semi-Finals in their entire history. Even in their short history some good players have come out of their system like Jay Harrison, Brian Finley, Rostislav Klesla, Jay McClement, Raffi Torres, Wojtek Wolski, and Jason Spezza(Played for Brampton 1 year under-age in his hometown and the next year had to go into the draft). All of the player awards on this team are in 1998 Jay Harrison won the Jack Ferguson Award (First overall draft pick), in 1999-00 Rostislav Klesla won the (CHL Top Draft Prospect Award), and in 2005-06 Wojtek Wolski won the William Hanley Trophy (Most Sportsmanlike Player) and the Red Tilson Trophy (Most Outstanding Player). Stan Butler has been the only GM and Head Coach of the Brampton Battalion being the second longest serving ever next to Brian Kilrea of the Ottawa 67's.
